Studio Director- Yvette Tario
Yvette received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance Theatre from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Yvette began her teaching career in 2010 teaching in all dance styles but specializing in Tumbling and Acrobatics. She is best known for touring with Grammy award-winning singer Miguelito, dancing professionally for Norwegian Cruise Line, dancing for Cristina Quinones and opening for recording artist Tyga at the BET Pre-Party Show. Yvette's most recent acting job was with Telemundo in the telenovela Terapia De Amor. Performed at the House of Blues, Universal City Walk and the Staples Center. Her experiences in the industry only make her more motivated to share all of her knowledge and experience with the new upcoming generation of performers! She plans to teach her students as many tools as she can to help shape them into their best selves!
Bridget Wilson- Company Director
Bridget began dancing at the age of 2. Growing up training in styles such as: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Modern, and Contemporary. She’s been teaching for 13+ years and is so passionate about helping her students grow! She’s traveled all over the world studying and teaching all these forms of dance. From performing at Disneyland, to dancing on shows such as New Girl, to choreographing and dancing in commercials, music videos, and live stage performances, Bridget has a heart and a drive for creating beautiful pieces of work to share with the world. She believes in helping each individual student grow into the artist they’re meant to be!
Cory Dunkel (Dunkz)
Cory Dunkel (a.k.a Dunkz) has been a part of the dancing community going on for 12 years throughout all of Southern California. Cory brings the light and teaches to accept others that want to learn, grow and push themselves to a different level of dance. His style is free to vibe, free to groove, and free to love. He has been a part of seven different dance crews in the past few years and will always love to continue to grow. He shows others that dance is fun especially when you're freely being yourself. During his time with his dance crews he has been given the opportunity to be in music videos, has been a back-up dancer for many underground artists, performed in the Rose Parade and competed in many dance competitions such as World of Dance and Hip Hop International. Dance has been his outlet for many years so share the dance floor together and influence others to be a part of something great.
Upon moving out to Los Angeles, she signed with Go2Talent agency under dance and commercial division. Through hard-work and perseverance, Crystal has already accomplished a few of her dreams by working with some great artists in the industry such as Cardi B, Chris Brown, J. Cole, Remy Ma, Busta Rhymes, Shawn Wayans, and more. She made one of her biggest appearances on television working for a tribute to Michael Jackson on Lip Sync Battle on Paramount network. Crystal takes each step with gratitude and only sees this as the beginning of the many accomplishments she will achieve!
From Auburn, AL., MaryKate moved to Atlanta in 2014 to pursue a dancing and acting career. That year she was accepted into Gotta Dance Atlanta’s scholarship program where she trained intensely at over 30 hours a week. During this time she became the youngest member of the prestigious Project 7 dance company under the direction of Cherrise Wakeham. As a Project 7 member, MaryKate performed in an award winning piece at the Capezio A.C.E. Awards in NYC, the show "S.H.E" in Long Beach, CA, and “There Will Be Time” in Atlanta, GA. In 2015 MaryKate discovered a passion for teaching and choreographing. She has had the honor of teaching/choreographing for many dance studios in the east and west coast. MaryKate specializes in jazz, contemporary, stretch/strengthening, hip hop, and improv. In 2017 MaryKate was offered a dance assistant job for Force Dance Tour where she worked along side Blake McGrath, Ricky Palomino,and Chehon Wespi-Tschopp. During her time in Atlanta she studied acting and trained at The Robert Mello Studio. MaryKate was cast in several short films such as "Untapped- With You","KUDZU," Faces, & "The Door". MaryKate moved to Los Angeles in 2019 and since was accepted into Dana Foglia’s 6 week and 3 month program. She also performed at “Carnival” with Dana Foglia Dance. MaryKate is excited to continue pursuing film, dance, fitness, and working as a teacher/choreographer.
Asia Carlton - Vocals & Acting
Asia Monae Carlton is a Singer/Songwriter from Chester, PA. Her passion for music started at the age of 3, when she had her first solo in choir. Her gospel choir background gave her an appreciation for music and harmonies. After singing for 12 years in choir, she began writing and recording her own music with Team MAC; a mentor music group in her hometown that focused on spreading positive messages to the youth. Throughout high-school, she served as a mentor and a camp counselor to youth ages 5-13. She majored in Music at Essex County College in Newark, NJ for 3 years and later graduated from AMDA Los Angeles with a BFA in acting. Asia continues to create music and is excited to share her love of music with LYTE Dance Academy.
Marina began her dance training at the age of five. Growing up she trained in ballet, contemporary, modern, lyrical, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop and jazz funk. She has taken part in competition teams as well as a performance teams. At the age of 17, she decided to challenge her love for dance as a choreographer in multiple studios around the San Fernando Valley and has continued to do so for the past six years. She got the opportunity to coach a performance team for 4 years which gave her the experience to work with students of all ages. Marina continued her passion as a dancer by joining the Cal State Northridge Hip Hop team where she now is entering her second year on the team. She strongly believes in using dance as an outlet to express oneself while providing your aspiring dancer with the foundation to grow!
